Danny Smith, School Psychologist

My name is Danny Smith. I wear many hats with the Candler County Board of Education. I have been a School Psychologist for 27 years. I have worked in many of the school systems in South Georgia spending 9 years at First District RESA, 15 years with Vidalia City Schools and finally coming home to Metter in 2008. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, M.Ed. in School Psychology, and Ed. S. in School Psychology; all from Georgia Southern University. Needless to say, I am an Eagle fan! I also enjoy playing guitar, playing golf and fishing at the coast when I have the opportunity. My wife, Jeanne, of 25 years is also a School Psychologist. She is employed by Bulloch County Schools, but is a Tiger through and through! I have two daughters, Kelsey and Mary Grace. Kelsey is in her senior year at Georgia Southern University studying photography. She graduated from Metter High School in 2007. She is a former Miss Metter High. Mary Grace is currently a junior at Metter High School. Mary Grace is junior class president, a competition cheerleader, and plays on the Tiger tennis team in the spring. Both girls keep us very busy with their activities.
