Write over Applications that Aren't Ink Aware

Inject Your Handwriting into the Application as Text

When you write over an application that's not Ink Aware, you can inject your handwritten text into the underlying application as typewritten text. Just press on your note for approximately three seconds. A menu appears over the note. Select the best conversion option and the word appears at the cursor point in the active application or dialog box.

NOTE: SMART Board software converts handwriting in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.

Capture Notes into Notebook Software

You can capture notes made over an application that's not Ink Aware. You can open the Screen Capture tools from Notebook software, or you can add them to the Floating Tools.

• Use the button to capture the entire screen with your notes and an image of the application as a Notebook file (Notebook software launches if it is not already running). Notebook software displays your notes as one object and the background image as an image.

• Use the button to capture a selected region of the screen as a Notebook object.

• Use the button to capture a specific window as a Notebook object.

• Use the button to capture an irregular area of the screen as a Notebook object.
